Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 June 2026
These Terms govern your use of ContractSummaryAI, provided by Middletech Limited. Please read them before uploading a contract or creating an account.
Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ContractSummaryAI, operated by Middletech Limited, Ireland, EU.
By creating an account, uploading a contract, or using the free trial, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
ContractSummaryAI provides automated contract summaries, benchmark comparisons, and Q&A based on the text you provide.
The service is intended for freelancers, consultants, and small businesses who want a clearer picture of common contract terms before signing.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
Not legal advice
ContractSummaryAI is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Summaries, benchmarks, and answers are for general information only.
AI output can be incomplete or incorrect. You must verify important terms with a qualified solicitor before signing or relying on any output.
We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the service.
Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload content you do not have the right to process.
- Use the service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or access other users’ data.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the service without our written permission.
- Upload malware or content designed to disrupt our systems.
Free trial and plans
The free trial allows a limited number of reviews without an account, subject to fair-use and anti-abuse limits.
Registered free accounts include plan limits as described on our Pricing page. Paid plans unlock additional features and higher limits.
Prices, features, and limits may change; we will give notice before changes apply to an active paid subscription where required by law.
Payment and cancellation
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle unless stated otherwise at checkout.
You may cancel renewal through your account or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
Refund policies, if any, will be shown at checkout or in your account settings.
Intellectual property
You retain ownership of contracts and content you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service.
We own the website, software, branding, and benchmark methodology. You may not copy or reuse them except as allowed by these Terms.
Feedback you provide may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
Availability and disclaimers
We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Middletech Limited is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or €100 if you have not paid anything, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU consumer law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Courts in Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence if you are a consumer in the EU/EEA.
